A request letter to the Prime Minister of Canada, Re. a public inquiry

Dear Mr. Stephen Harper:

Thanks for your recent reply.

As a victim of torture, I am writing again to request you to take prompt action to order a Commisson of Inquiry into the case, relating to the torture through the use of non-lethal weapons, gang-stalking, serious violation of human right happened in Toronto of Canada. The involved parties are a well-organized secret unit of Canada, 41 police division of Toronto, The Scarborough Hospital.

The base on which I am making this request is from the following sources:

1) The Canadian government ordered a commission of inquiry which concluded that he was tortured based upon interviews with Arar and others.

2) Maher Arar and his wife call for renew full inquiry. “And there are many other things that happened to me that only can be answered by public inquiry....”

3) On Jan. 28, 2004, under pressure from Canadian human rights organizations and a growing number of citizens, the Government of Canada announced a Commission of Inquiry into the Actions of Canadian Officials in relation to Maher Arar.

4) “On behalf of the Government of Canada, I wish to apologize to you,Monia Mazigh and your family for any role Canadian officials may have played in the terrible ordeal that all of you experienced in 2002 and 2003.”

5) Governments should ensure that all complaints and reports of torture are impartially and effectively investigated. The methods and findings of such investigations should be made public. Complainants and witnesses should be protected from intimidation.
